Najeeb Haroon’s move to MQM-Pakistan adds another layer of complexity to the evolving political landscape in Karachi.

In a surprising turn of events, former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding member and ex-MNA from Karachi, Najeeb Haroon, has officially joined the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan). This strategic move was announced on Saturday following a crucial meeting between Haroon and MQM-P leaders, including party convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, and Mustafa Kamal.

MQM-Pakistan’s senior leader, Faisal Sabzwari, took to his official social media handle to share the significant development, solidifying the alliance between Najeeb Haroon and MQM-P.

This development follows recent political realignments in the run-up to the February 8 general elections. Notably, MQM-P leaders Raza Haroon and Anees Advocate had joined the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) just a day earlier. The duo met with former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi, with Zardari welcoming them into the party fold.
