NOWSHERA: An 8-month pregnant woman was set ablaze alive in a tragic accident that took place in the Pabbi tehsil of Nowshera district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The victim had allegedly gone missing from her house yesterday, reports added. Police initially found that the victim‘s sister-in-law took her along on the false pretext of meeting a doctor.
Police added that the suspect has been arrested and further investigation is in progress.
A charred body was retrieved from the Babu Khwar area close to Muslim Town, later being identified as the missing pregnant woman.
The body has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem by police, and operations are being carried out to arrest other people involved in the case.
