Preparations complete for PIA’s first flight to UK after 5 years

KARACHI: Pakistan International Air (PIA)’s first flight to the UK after 5 five-year ban will depart on October 25.

According to sources, preparations for the resumption of PIA’s flight operations to the UK have been completed.

Sources said that PIA’s Boeing 777 aircraft will carry out the British flight operation, and a PIA team has arrived in the UK to review it.

According to a PIA spokesperson, PIA’s aircraft are fully fit for the UK flight operation.

CEO PIA Amir Hayat is personally monitoring the preparations for the British flight operation. PIA’s aircraft are fully ready to land in the UK after 5 years.

In the initial phase, PIA will operate two weekly flights from Islamabad to Manchester. These flights will operate on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

According to the schedule, the flight from Islamabad will depart at 12 noon and reach Manchester at 5 pm, while the return flight from Manchester will depart at 7 pm and reach Islamabad at 7 am the next morning.

According to the spokesperson, flights to Manchester will be gradually increased, and flights to London will also start in the second phase. Flight bookings have started, and very suitable fares have been introduced for passengers.

The spokesperson said that now our compatriots will be able to reach their destination in just 8 hours instead of 15 hours while traveling to the UK.

PIA has resumed this route after a gap of 5 years, which the organization is very excited about. The spokesperson added, “Our mission is to provide our passengers with a comfortable, safe and fully equipped travel experience.”
