LAHORE: A disturbing incident occurred on Lahore’s Canal Road near the Beijing Underpass, where a citizen, Imran, was brutally attacked by private security guards for not giving way to a motorcade of foreign guests.
The video of this incident has been going viral on social media, where it can be seen how the security guards in the high-end vehicles got out of the cars, tried to shoot Imran, but luckily the bullet only hit his car.
The security personnel didn’t stop there and started beating Imran. Imran showed remarkable courage and tried to stop the guards, but then they pulled the innocent citizens with his hair, throwing him on the side of the road.
According to Imran, the guards stopped him near the Beijing Underpass and opened fire at his car. Fortunately, the public intervened, started recording the incident, and prevented further harm.
The incident sparked widespread criticism against “Dala culture,” a term used to describe the abuse of power and VIP culture in Pakistan.
Following the incident, police arrested four security guards and seized their weapons and vehicles. A case was registered against the suspects at Mughalpura police station, and the DIG Operations, Faisal Kamran, assured that such “Dala Culture” will not be tolerated.
The incident highlights the need for stricter regulations and accountability for private security personnel to prevent such abuses of power in the future.
