JUI leader, several others injured in South Waziristan mosque explosion

SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: In a devastating event, a blast at a mosque in South Waziristan has left Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) district Amir Maulana Abdullah Nadeem injured, according to a police report.

According to police officials, the blast occurred in the Azam Warsak area of lower South Waziristan, injuring Maulana Abdullah and several others who were present in the mosque at the time of explosion.

JUI-F leader received serious injuries in the blast and was rushed to the Wana Civil hospital for further treatment.

This incident comes at a time when Pakistan is witnessing a surge in terrorist activities.

In a separate incident, a powerful suicide blast targeted Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S), at Darul Uloom Haqqania in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The blast occurred after Friday prayers, resulting in the death of Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq and two others.

Furthermore, militants from the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) attacked a train carrying 440 people from Quetta to Peshawar.

The militants fired on the train, took passengers hostage, and detonated a bomb on the railway track. Security forces launched a two-day operation, eliminating all 33 terrorists involved. Unfortunately, 21 passengers and 4 FC personnel lost their lives in the incident.
