MULTAN: World-renowned and prominent Saraiki poet Amanullah Arshad passed away after a long illness.
He had been suffering from heart disease and diabetes for a long time.
Amanullah Arshad was born in 1971 in Dera Dost Muhammad Tehsil Khanpur, District Rahim Yar Khan.
He became a disciple of Sufi Faiz Muhammad Dilchasap, whose company gave spiritual depth to his art.
His collection of Naatiya was awarded with many awards, including the Seerat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) Award.
His funeral prayers were offered in his native area, Dera Dost Muhammad Tehsil Khanpur, District Rahim Yar Khan.
Finally, Khwaja Moinuddin Mehboob Koreja led a collective prayer for his forgiveness, after which he was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard.
