Protest outside the US consulate in Karachi

KARACHI: As soon as the news of the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spread, protests began outside the US Consulate in Karachi.

A large number of protesters gathered around the US Consulate in Karachi, and the police started shelling to disperse the protesters.

Both roads from Karachi Sultanabad to Mai Kolachi were closed for traffic, and traffic coming from Jinnah Bridge is being diverted to II Chandrigarh Road.

According to Karachi Traffic Police, traffic coming from PIDC is being diverted back through Park Cut, and traffic movement is suspended due to the protest.
