PSL 9 points table: Zalmi into playoffs after thrashing Gladiators

Rawalpindi: In the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 9), Peshawar Zalmi clinched the second spot on the points table after winning against Quetta Gladiators by 76 runs on Friday.

Babar Azam-led Zalmi outclassed the purple force in the 25th match of the tournament in Pindi Cricket Stadium and secured their spot in the playoffs.

Peshawar Zalmi has secured 11 points after winning five out of their nine matches, with one game being washed out.

With the entry to the PSL 9 playoffs and, after Multan Sultans, Zalmi became just the second team to advance past the first round of the competition.

Even though they suffered a severe defeat, the Gladiators may still have a chance to advance to the PSL 9 playoffs by winning one of their next two games against the Multan Sultans and the Lahore Qalandars.
