ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a new warning regarding the closure of mobile phone SIMs.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has issued a new warning to citizens to stay safe from the closure of their mobile phone SIMs.

The PTA’s issued warning states that mobile phone SIMs that have been obtained on National Identity Card numbers that are inactive or have expired may be suspended.

The PTA has warned all mobile phone users to update the validity and information of the National Identity Card on time.

If your National Identity Card has expired and become inactive, update your information with the mobile operator and get the National Identity Card activated from NADRA, the PTA has asked users to ensure their identity verification, which will secure your connection.
