ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s joint parliamentary party has agreed to expedite steps for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The PTI’s joint parliamentary party met in which a unanimous resolution was passed regarding the country’s political situation.

According to the text of the resolution, it was agreed that the joint parliamentary party should take all possible political and legal steps for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The resolution emphasized the supremacy of the constitution, the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, while expressing full confidence in the opposition leaders in the Senate and the National Assembly.

The resolution said that the suggestions given by the opposition leader will be fully implemented.

The resolution passed in the joint parliamentary party meeting expressed concern over the continued imprisonment of the PTI founder and condemned the targeting of the former prime minister as a target of political revenge. The parliamentary party was also asked to take practical steps for the release of the PTI founder.

Speaking to the media after the parliamentary party meeting of the opposition alliance, the head of the united opposition, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, said that we discussed the situation of inflation, hunger and poverty in the country in the meeting. A large number of parliamentarians attended the meeting.

He said that we have decided that we will launch a movement, remain peaceful, and will not abuse anyone. We are saddened by the waste of the constitution in the country. The wings of the parties that were being said to be working for the survival of democracy have been clipped. We have decided that we have to reject the constitution. A detailed discussion has been held in this regard.

Chairman PTI Barrister Gauhar said that today the joint parliamentary party meeting lasted for eight hours. Everyone reviewed the problems faced by the country. The most important thing was the lack of facilities available to Bushra Bibi regarding her health.

Barrister Gohar said that the attitude maintained towards the founder of PTI is unconstitutional and inhumane. He is not being allowed to meet anyone. The founder of PTI and the people of Pakistan are one soul. We have decided to demand his release.

He said that cases against Imran Khan should be filed immediately and a decision should be taken on it. We agree with the decisions that will be taken under the leadership of Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

The Chairman PTI said that the parliamentary party has jointly said that we do not accept minus the founder. Any such effort that minus Imran will be strongly condemned. We will hold a protest tomorrow. The people of Pakistan will participate fully in it.

Barrister Gohar said that it was brought to my notice that Sher Afzal Marwat has filed a petition in the Constitutional Court for the restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as the Chief Minister. This is a conspiracy that is being made, which we condemn.

He said that only the founder PTI gives permission to who will be the CM, Sohail Afridi became the CM by the will of the founder, this decision cannot be reversed, Ali Amin has also given an explanation, I pay tribute to him.

Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said that deciding on negotiations should not be considered as weakness, the political crisis is increasing day by day, so much burden is being put on the people that the country is not able to run.

He said that the purpose of the negotiations is to bring the country on track, the supremacy of the Constitution should prevail in Pakistan, our political prisoners are all innocent, they should be released, can’t you have differences of opinion in Pakistan?

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said that we have the Quran, religion, prophets, saints, but no leaders. Here, even a common man cannot even talk. If this country is to be run, it is necessary to have discussions and this is the biggest responsibility of the government.

He said that the Prime Minister should come to the opposition leader’s chamber. Isn’t it the Prime Minister’s responsibility to get the country out of the crisis? We want dialogue, but with respect.
