ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Sunni Ittehad Council have formed a parliamentary alliance in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh, marking a strategic political collaboration between the two parties.

Sources reveal that detailed negotiations have been concluded, solidifying the terms of the alliance in the provincial assemblies of Punjab and Sindh. As part of this alliance, PTI-backed independent members in these provinces are poised to join the ranks of the Sunni Ittehad Council, further strengthening the coalition’s representation.

The forthcoming alliance has generated anticipation among political circles, with talks also underway for potential collaboration at the federal level between the two parties. PTI-backed independent members are scheduled to formalize their affiliation by submitting affidavits on Monday, cementing their allegiance to the Sunni Ittehad Council.

A pivotal meeting is scheduled for Sunday, where PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Sunni Ittehad Council leader Sahibzada Hamid Raza will convene to finalize the terms of the parliamentary alliance.
