KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh’s driver was shot dead by unknown armed men today near Super Highway in Karachi.
Police said that the deceased was killed by unknown armed suspects at another location and escaped by dumping the body near Super Highway Chakar Hotel.
The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Shahnawaz, a rescue official said, adding that his body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Two bullet wounds were spotted on the body of the victim, police said.
According to the police, Shahnawaz, who was a resident of Janjal Goth and the personal driver of Haleem Adil Sheikh, left his house at 4 am while his body was found at 6:50 am on the roadside.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
