PTI leader Rehana Dar arrested

SIALKOT: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar’s mother Rehana Imtiaz Dar and sister-in-law Ruba Umar Dar were arrested on Thursday.

In a statement, son Umar Dar said that my mother Rehana Dar was arrested from Sialkot, along with my mother, other women were also arrested.

As per the reports, the PTI had organized a prayer ceremony for the martyred workers at Jinnah House, in which Rehana Dar participated. As soon as she came out of her house, the police arrested her.

Sources said that a heavy contingent of police detained Dar from near Jinnah House.

It is worth mentioning here that the nation is observing first anniversary of May 09 riots. The PTI has announced to organize rallies across Pakistan.

As per the fresh reports, the police released the PTI leader Rehana Dar hours after her arrest in Sialkot.

Rehana Dar is the mother of PTI leaders Usman Dar and Umar Dar, and she had contested the election against PML-N veteran and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif from Sialkot.
