MULTAN: Mahnum Kabir, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zain Qureshi, and daughter-in-law of former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has made a safe return after being allegedly abducted by unidentified armed men late Wednesday.

According to reports, Mahnum was kidnapped when armed men blocked her vehicle, raising fears about the escalating intimidation tactics against PTI leaders.

Following her ordeal, Mahnum took to social media to express gratitude to everyone who supported her during this difficult time.

Her heartfelt message was accompanied by a post from Mehrbano Qureshi, PTI leader and daughter of Shah Mahmood, who shared a picture of her sister-in-law and thanked everyone for their prayers.

The news of her kidnapping was confirmed by PTI activist and daughter of Mehmood Qureshi who took her X account and tweeted about how her family has faced threats for over a year and a half but remains resilient. She implied that the abduction was a desperate attempt to intimidate them after previous failed efforts.

This disturbing event has illuminated the vulnerabilities faced by political families, underscoring the need for enhanced security measures to protect them.

The incident has sparked widespread concern about the security and safety of the region’s political figures and their families.
