PTI rally participants attack police with stones over shelling, several officers injured

ISLAMABAD: The participants of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in the federal capital Islamabad pelted stones on the police over shelling, injuring several officials including the SSP.

The participants of the rally at 26 Chungi in Islamabad violated the issued route and threw stones at the police

On the other hand, earlier Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said that according to the NOC issued to PTI, the time of the end of the meeting is 7 pm.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the organizers of the meeting have been formally informed about the end time, immediate action will be taken on violation of NOC, indicating immediate shutdown of lights and sound system and also for legal action.
