ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is holding a jalsa in Islamabad today at Sangjani. The part workers have reached the designated area although the government tried their best to stop the rally on its way by blocking all entering passageways to Islamabad.

The PTI aims to demonstrate its political strength through the jalsa in Islamabad. The party’s leadership has already arrived at the venue. As of now the PTI leaders are addressing the public and encouraging them to fully participate in the rally.

As per the media reports, the participants of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in the federal capital Islamabad pelted stones on the police, injuring several officials including the SSP.

On the other hand, earlier Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said that according to the NOC issued to PTI, the time of the end of the meeting is 7 pm.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the organizers of the meeting have been formally informed about the end time, immediate action will be taken on violation of NOC, indicating immediate shutdown of lights and sound system and also for legal action.

Major routes into the city, including the Express Highway, have been blocked with barricades and containers. The closure of key bridges, such as the Khonda Bridge and Sangjani Bridge, has caused long traffic jams, with travelers facing significant delays.

The restrictions have also affected access to the city from neighboring provinces, with containers placed at the Attock Khurd police checkpoint on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab border.

Moreover, internet services are also disrupted due to power jalsa, users are facing complications when sending files and images through WhatsApp however other social media platforms such as YouTube are working normally.

Earlier, The district administration had granted conditional approval for the rally, stipulating that it would run from 4 pm to 7 pm, with no disruption to business or public movement.

PTI leadership has directed MNAs, MPs, and ticket holders from nearby constituencies to arrive with at least 500 workers, while those from distant areas are expected to bring 150 workers.
