ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer of talks.

PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram says that the government’s approach is a sign of political panic and intellectual bankruptcy, the government is using talks as a duplicity and to fool the people.

Sheikh Waqas Akram said in his statement that the demand for an apology from PTI is a sign of the government’s political panic and intellectual bankruptcy, rulers should not demand talks based on preconditions.

He said that the government can talk to the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ain Pakistan to find a negotiated solution to the current crises.

Sheikh Waqas Akram said that the government can contact Mehmood Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.

He said that the PTI will not engage in talks with the government under any circumstances, and Shehbaz Sharif’s offer of talks is a duplicity and contradictory position.

It should be noted that while addressing the federal cabinet meeting yesterday, he once again invited the PTI for talks.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the founder of PTI and his colleagues are talking about talks, I have already invited the PTI leadership for talks. I also invited the PTI for talks on the assembly floor, I invite them once again for talks, but talks can only be held on legitimate demands, blackmailing will not work under the guise of talks.
