ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members on Wednesday announced their resignations from all parliamentary committees, boycotting the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
PTI lawmaker Sanaullah Mastikhel, who is also a PAC member, reached the committee room and formally announced the decision before walking out.
Speaking to reporters, Mastikhel said that all PTI members, including the party’s representatives in the PAC, have resigned. “Our chairman and members have resigned from the Public Accounts Committee, and no one from our party will attend its meetings,” he said.
When asked if all PTI members would skip today’s PAC meeting, Mastikhel replied that some had received the message while others had not been informed yet.
