PM Shehbaz, FM Asim Munir reach Tehran to attend Khamenei’s funeral

TEHRAN: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the condolence gathering of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir offered condolences to Iranian President Masoud Peshkian, Speaker Baqir Qalibaf, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and prayed for the elevation of the martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Shahbaz Sharif will leave for Istanbul on a visit to Turkey after attending the funeral of martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Atta Tarar, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are also accompanying him.
