MIRPUR: Internet services have started to be restored in Mirpur district of Azad Kashmir in a phased manner. After a long shutdown, citizens breathed a sigh of relief.

There was a wave of joy. The business community welcomed the decision after social media and online services were partially restored in various areas.

Social media and online services were partially restored in various areas, which provided students with convenience in online education and assignments, while there is great news for freelancers and people associated with IT. Citizens say that the internet shutdown severely affected their daily lives.

Banking, e-commerce, and online transactions were also affected. Business activities are likely to pick up after the restoration. Internet speed is still slow in some areas; full restoration is underway.

According to the administration, full service will be restored in all areas soon. Citizens have demanded that the government provide uninterrupted service in the future.

It should be noted that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto had demanded the restoration of internet services.
