LAHORE: Winter vacations have been announced for schools in Punjab. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced winter vacations for schools in the province, according to which the holidays will be from December 22 to January 10.
Private and government schools will remain closed from December 22 to January 10. It should be noted that this decision has been taken in view of the severity of the cold and the health of students so that children can be protected from diseases and return for the next academic session with better preparation during the holidays.
Earlier, the Punjab government had changed the working hours of schools due to the increasing intensity of smog. The notification said that no educational institution will be able to open before 8:45 am.
