LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has said that educational institutions are open as usual.
The provincial education minister said that all educational institutions in Punjab have been declared a holiday on Saturday. He said that a smart and reduced syllabus is active for matriculation in Punjab.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said that our team is working on the syllabus for the 11th grade. The smart syllabus for the 11th grade will be announced by next week.
He said that the smart syllabus has been updated and uploaded since the day before yesterday. The computer book for the ninth grade has been reduced from 270 to 160 pages.
The aim of the smart syllabus is to reduce the overload of children. The Punjab Education Minister said that unnecessary content has been removed from the books. The syllabus has been updated according to the current modern system and needs.
A private and public sector committee has been formed to prepare the academic calendar. He said that the academic calendar will be completed by December 1 and a notification will be issued.
