Punjab education minister seeks public opinion on extending school holidays

LAHORE: The education minister seeks public opinion on whether holidays should be extended in educational institutions of Punjab.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat asked that educational institutions be open from January 12, or the holidays be extended till January 19.

Earlier, Education Minister Rana Sikandar had denied rumors of an increase in holidays in educational institutions of the province.

He had said that all schools and colleges will open from January 12 as per the announced schedule.

It should be noted that a fake notification regarding the extension of holidays in educational institutions of Punjab was going viral on social media, and the Education Minister had to give an explanation.
