LAHORE: The government of Punjab on Sunday decided to recruit 30,000 new school teachers here as students were facing shortage of teachers.
According to media reports, official sources of Punjab Education Department revealed that Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has recently given the task of recruitment of new teachers to Punjab Education Minister to improve the quality of education and overcome the shortage of teachers.
Sources further said that the recruitment process is being done after seven years. The recruitment process will be conducted in a phased manner by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
The recruitment process is likely to be completed during the summer vacation of 2024, sources said.
