Punjab govt distributes over 2.5 Million Nighaban Ramadan Cards

LAHORE: The Punjab government has claimed to have distributed 2.5 million 3,897 Nighaban Ramadan cards so far in Ramadan.

Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari, while holding a joint press conference with Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, said that they are bringing a big project for the people in Ramadan, improving the lives of people living in small cities of Punjab.

Uzma Bukhari said that 2.5 million 3,897 Nighaban Ramadan cards have been distributed, money has been withdrawn from more than 2.1 million cards, people have had official iftar at 422 places from Ramadan 1 to March 1, and facilities are being provided in 1,763 Nighaban Ramadan bazaars.

He said that the cost of the Punjab Development Program has already been increased and more than 67 cities are being looked after by local governments.

The local government will lay 6100 kilometers of sewerage lines, 189 kilometers of strong water drains will be constructed by 181 local governments, 83 disposal stations will be constructed, and 358 underground water tank housing will be constructed by 358 local governments.
