LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Kissan Cards will be available at Bank of Punjab branches from August 10 as printing of 250,000 cards is underway.
As per the details, in the meeting presided over by Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, it was informed that the verification of one lakh applicants has been completed while new applications are also being received.
Kissan card holders will be able to buy fertilizers, seeds and pesticides at discounted prices from October 15.
Mr Sahoo said the cards would be distributed on a “first come, first served” basis as 275,000 farmers had applied for it so far.
