ISLAMABAD: The General Provident Fund of retiring employees in Punjab has been updated.
As per the details, Accountant General Punjab Namana Gulrukh Farid says that the data of all employees who retired by June 30, 2026 has been completed.
The facility will enable timely payment of retirement funds to employees, a facility center has been established in the AG office under the leadership of the Additional Accountant General Admin. GP fund slips will now be issued only to the concerned employee personally.
On the other hand, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has lifted the ban on appointments, transfers and recruitments of government employees.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, transfers of officers in Grade 17 and above can now be done with the approval of the concerned Administrative Secretary, Minister, Advisor or Special Assistant.
The Chief Minister has clearly instructed that the ban on recruitments has also been lifted and all recruitments should be made completely on the basis of merit.
According to the same announcement, Grade 20 senior police officer Muhammad Ali Gandapur has been appointed as Additional IG Elite Force Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Muhammad Hussain has been appointed as DIG Crime and Investigation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Chief Minister has directed all departments to ensure strict implementation of these orders.
