RAWALPINDI: Murree, the Queen of Hills, experienced its first snowfall of the season on Sunday, attracting tourists from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and other suburbs for the beautiful winter scene.
Family members also moved to the hill station to witness the winter at its best amid magical flakes, where everybody could enjoy the snowfall in full. The administration acted quickly and began clearing the snow from the roads with the help of the Highway Department and other relevant agencies to ensure visitors received an uninterrupted and safe experience.
In the event of an approaching snowstorm, the district administration is keeping all departments on their toes. At the same time, the Deputy Commissioner of Murree, Agha Abbas Shirazi, asserted the excellent arrangements made for the tourists.
The administration has set up no fewer than 13 facilitation centers across Murree, where representatives of the relevant departments will assist and guide tourists.
Additionally, a control room oversees snow clearance through staff attendance and CCTV cameras while salt is being dispersed on the roads to prevent icy conditions. All the administrative agencies are actively working in the field, taking timely measures to clear the roads of snow.
The administration’s poised outlook ensured a successful and pleasant visit for tourists amid the snowy landscape. The serene and sometimes surreal presence of snow at this time allows for games with snow, skiing, moving downhill, and a host of other exciting activities.
A natural landscape, fringing mountains topped with snow and tall timber trees, presents breathtaking views that make it an equally charming refreshment for lovers of nature and those in search of adventure.
