Quetta blast leaves 13 dead, several injured

QUETTA: In a tragic incident, at least 13 people lost their lives and forty others got injured in a powerful explosion at the Pishin stop on Zarghun Road in Quetta.

Fierce firing was reported after the blast, according to media reports.

The security forces have surrounded the areas, and a search operation has begun to collect further evidence.

Police and rescue teams immediately rushed to the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance to the victims.

Footage emerging from the site shows thick clouds of smoke rising from a distance, indicating the magnitude of the blast. Authorities are currently determining the exact location and nature of the explosion.

Following the incident, the area around Pishin Stop was sealed off to contain the situation. Security forces conducted operations in the vicinity as firing continued in the aftermath of the explosion.

Police confirmed that multiple teams have been deployed to secure the site, assist casualties, and investigate the cause of the blast.
