Quetta train services suspended due to security issues

QUETTA: In view of the security situation, all domestic and intra-provincial trains running from Quetta have been suspended.

According to railway sources, trains running from Quetta have been temporarily suspended. The decision to suspend the trains was taken due to security concerns.

According to railway officials, the Jaffar Express from Quetta to Punjab, the Bolan Mail Service to Karachi and the Chaman Passenger Train from Quetta to Chaman have been suspended. In addition, the Jaffar Express from Peshawar to Quetta has been stopped in Jacobabad.

According to railway sources, the affected passengers will be refunded the full amount of their tickets. While the decision to resume the train service will be taken after reviewing the security situation.

It should be noted that on January 29, 2026, security forces killed 30 terrorists during an operation in the Harnai area of ​​Balochistan. While 11 terrorists were also killed in Panjgur.

Security agencies say that the law and order situation in the province is being closely monitored. And all possible steps are being taken to protect the lives and property of the people.
