ISLAMABAD: A district and session court in Islamabad has granted post-arrest bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Raoof Hasan in a case under the PECA act but he will not be released.
Duty Magistrate Abbas Shah heard the bail plea of Raoof Hasan and nine other PTI activists against surety bonds worth Rs 50,000 each.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in the federal capital handed over Raoof Hasan to CTD on a two-day physical remand in the anti-state propaganda case.
The court later approved a three-day extension of his physical remand along with other PTI members.
On July 22, the PTI spokesperson and others were arrested by the Islamabad Police and subsequently handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on charges under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes (PECA) Act, 2016.
