Rehmat Card Program
LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab has launched the Rehmat Card Program for deserving women, through which widows, destitute women and single mothers will be able to get financial assistance from the government. The portal for registration of Rehmat Card has been activated.
Under the Rehmat Card Program, widows will be given financial assistance of Rs. 100,000 so that they can meet the basic needs of their lives and those of their children. In addition, single mothers will be given assistance of Rs. 25,000 for one child and Rs. 50,000 for two children.
An assistance of Rs. 100,000 per family will be provided to orphaned children so that their living conditions can be improved and they too do not face financial difficulties.
There are some essential eligibility criteria to apply for the program. Deserving women must be low-income and not be government employees or pensioners. In addition, the applicant must have a Pakistani National Identity Card (CNIC) and must be a resident of Punjab. The aim of this program is to help only those who are economically weak and who need help from the government.
The most special aspect of this program is that the application process can be done online. Eligible women can apply from home, through a computer or mobile, which is a convenient way for them. In this way, they will not have to go through any difficulties or visit offices.
To apply, the government has launched a portal, through which women can submit their application along with their documents. To apply, click on the link https://rahmatcard.punjab.gov.pk/.
While launching this program, the Chief Minister of Punjab said that this step was necessary to protect the rights of women and improve their economic condition. He added that such programs will be helpful in bringing change in the lives of women and making them independent.
