Salaries likely to increase by 7% and pension by 5%

ISLAMABAD: Salaries of government employees are likely to increase by about 7% and pension by 5%.

No final announcement has been made by the government or the Ministry of Finance regarding the increase in salaries or pensions yet, however, it is being speculated that the government will increase the salaries of government employees by about 7% while providing 5% relief for pensioners.

Apart from this, the government may also introduce other relief measures for the salaried class. Thousands of government employees and retirees across the country will benefit from the increase in salaries, however, the final decision will depend on the government’s financial capacity and overall budget strategy.
