Sanaullah says PML-N will release final list of candidates today or tomorrow

Former interior minister says PML-N has finalized seat adjustment with IPP and PML-Q.

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Amid reports of ticket squabbles, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah Khan announced on Wednesday that the party has finalised its candidates and will release the final list by this evening or tomorrow.

“Work has been done on tickets, we will issue the list today evening or tomorrow,”He also confirmed that the PML-N’s seat adjustment talks with the Jahangir Tareen-led Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) had been completed.

Earlier, The News reported, citing sources, that negotiations between the PML-N and the IPP had been ongoing for some time, but the deadlock remained because the latter demanded more seats than the former could offer.

They claimed that the PML-N had now agreed to accommodate the IPP on seven National Assembly seats and 11 provincial assembly seats, despite the IPP’s demand for 13 NA seats and 22 provincial seats.

In the interview, Sanuallah also stated that the PML-N and the PML-Quaid have reached an agreement on seat adjustments in Gujarat and Bahawalpur.
