Security forces eliminate six Khwarij in Karak IBO: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed six Kharijites in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

The ISPR said that on February 21, 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Karak district on information about the presence of Khwarij.

It added that during the operation, security forces effectively acted on the Kharijites’ location, resulting in the killing of six Khwarij.

“A sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other Khwarij found in the area as Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR added.

Earlier on February 18, Pakistani security forces killed 30 Khwarij militants in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

“On February 17, 2025, security forces conducted an operation in Sararogha district of South Waziristan on information about the presence of Khwarij,” the army’s media wing said.

It added that during the operation, security forces effectively located the hideout of the terrorists, resulting in the killing of 30 people.
