Security forces foil Khwarij attack on FC Headquarters in Mohmand

RAWALPINDI: Security forces thwarted an attack on Frontier Corps Headquarters in Mohmand District in the early hours of September 6, 2024, the military’s media wing said in a statement.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a group of four Khwarij tried to enter the camp, which was effectively foiled by the security forces personnel.

Following the prompt response from the security forces, all four suicide bombers were killed before they could cause the intended damage, the ISPR said. 

ISPR further said that the sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area. “Pakistan security forces stand valiant, with the sheer determination and resolve, to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.”

Earlier, COAS Gen Asim Munir while addressing the Defence and Martyrs Day ceremony commended the nation for its steadfast courage and resilience in the face of persistent terrorism and assured that the fight against the menace would continue till “the elimination of the terrorists.”
