Sehat Card Facility Restored for KP Citizens, Check All Details

Peshawar: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to restart the Sehat Card program for permanent residents of the province after it was temporarily suspended due to financial constraints.

This flagship health initiative by the PTI government was put on hold in May 2023, causing concern among citizens who relied on it for free treatment at private hospitals.

The decision to reinstate the Sehat Card program followed the appointment of Ali Amin Gandapur as the new chief minister of KP, who was elected as an independent candidate. In the 2024 elections, all PTI-backed candidates ran independently after their party symbol was revoked due to alleged irregularities in intra-party polls.

The Sehat Card service is expected to be available to all eligible residents of the province starting from the first day of Ramadan 2024, anticipated to commence on March 12.
