Senior bureaucrat resigned over the crackdown on PTI protesters

ISLAMABAD: Suleman Shah Rashdi, a senior bureaucrat in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, resigned from this post in a protest over the recent crackdown against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protestors.

In a post on the social media site X, Rashdi wrote, “After today’s heart-wrenching scenes, I curse this government and its job. I announce my resignation from civil service!”

Earlier, Suleman Shah was restored after getting suspended from the service.
