Senior Judge, Lawyer shot dead in Nowshera ambush

PESHAWAR: Senior Civil Judge (Admin) Hayat Khan and lawyer Khalid were shot dead in Nowshera, here on Tuesday.

According to initial reports, the incident took place near the Rashakai Interchange on the Motorway Road under the limits of Risalpur police station in Nowshera district, where unknown suspects opened fire on a motor car going from Peshawar.

As a result of the shooting, Senior Civil Judge (Admin) Mardan Hayat Khan, son of Pir Gul, resident of Bulandabad Mohalla, Kalam Tehsil, Swat District, and his colleague Khalid Khan Advocate, son of Amrish Khan, resident of Rustam Malin, Mardan, died on the spot.

Sources said that the reason for the enmity is being said to be the enmity of the previous murder victim, however, the police have started an investigation.
