Shaban to begin on Jan 21 as moon not sighted today

ISLAMABAD: The first of Shaban will be on Wednesday, January 21 as the Shaban moon was not sighted in Pakistan today.

A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Islamabad to see the Shaban Moon. Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad presided over the meeting.

Meetings of the Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees were also held in Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar. Officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Science and Technology, Suparco and other institutions participated in the meeting.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee reviewed the evidence regarding the sighting of the moon of Shaban.

Later, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced that the Shaban was not sighted in Pakistan today, the first of Shaban will be on Wednesday, January 21.
