Shocking incident in Karachi; Boy kills friend for ‘eating’ his girlfriend’s burger

KARACHI: In a strange incident, a boy killed his friend in Karachi on Wednesday for eating a burger, allegedly ordered for the ex’s girlfriend.

Police officials have completed an investigation into the murder, which took place on February 8 at Defense Phase 5, and have prepared a report.

According to the report, the dispute arose when the victim – identified as Ali Keerio, son of the Sessions Judge – ate a burger made for the suspect’s girlfriend. The accused Daniyal is the son of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nazir Ahmed Mirbahar.

Investigation revealed that Daniyal invited his girlfriend Shazia to his house on the day of the murder. His friend Ali Keerio and his brother Ahmar were also present at the house.

The accused ordered two burgers for himself and Shazia to eat. However, Ali Keerio reportedly ate half the burger, sending Daniel into a rage.

The altercation turned deadly, when the suspect grabbed the guard’s rifle and opened fire on Ali Keerio, seriously injuring him. Ali succumbed to the gunshot wounds at the hospital.

The investigating officer has completed the inquiry and submitted the report to the higher authorities declaring the police officer’s son guilty of the crime. Accused Daniyal Nazir is currently behind bars while the case is being heard in court.
