ISLAMABAD: Solar panel prices in Pakistan have fallen to an all-time low of Rs30-32 per watt, representing the largest drop in the industry’s history.

This notable decline is due to an oversupply in the domestic market and a global decrease in lithium battery prices, which has also reduced international solar panel costs.

In the past year, international lithium battery prices have dropped by nearly 50%, significantly impacting solar panel prices in Pakistan and causing them to fall sharply.

In contrast, dry battery prices have stayed largely the same, as importers have been reluctant to pass on the cost savings to local consumers.
