KARACHI: The government of Sindh has expanded its service to issue International Driving Licenses to all 11 Driving License Branches across the province. Earlier this service was available only at Clifton branch in Karachi.
As per the details, now, residents of Sindh with valid driving license can also apply online for International Driving License without visiting any branch.
According to DIG Training and Licensing Iqbal Dara, the service was launched on September 14 with six branches in Karachi as well as branches in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Larkana.
So far, the Clifton branch has issued 693 international driving licenses, while other branches including Korangi, Malir, and Nazimabad have also started processing applications.
For those who prefer to apply online, the system allows applicants to obtain their licenses without visiting a branch. Permits are delivered by TCS Courier Service.
DIG Iqbal Dara also informed that there is an online system to pay the fee of Rs 1,088 for International Driving Permit. The aim of this new initiative is to make the process more convenient and accessible for all residents of Sindh.
