RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Police took former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi back into custody shortly after his release from Adiala Jail on bail in a cipher case. Speaking to the media outside the jail premises right after being re-captured, Qureshi expressed his disbelief at the turn of events, declaring the new arrest as part of a false case.
“I am being targeted for political revenge,” asserted Qureshi, maintaining that the charges against him are fabricated. The former foreign minister, who had initially secured bail in the cipher case, now finds himself back in detention under circumstances that he claims are unjust.
