ISLAMABAD: The Power Division has clarified its NEPRA licensing and government orders on the issue of solar net metering.

According to the Power Division spokesperson, it is wrong to attribute the NEPRA license for solar net metering to the federal government. There are regulations for obtaining a NEPRA license that are directly related to the regulator and all electricity distribution companies are bound to implement these regulations.

The spokesperson says that clarification regarding the license condition is necessary from the federal government and the Ministry of Energy or the Power Division. Attributing the orders of the federal government to the licensing process is against the facts.
