Spain launches new visa for freelancers, check visa requirements inside

MADRID: Spain is amongst one of the most popular destinations for digital nomads: people who can work from anywhere in the world. The country’s amazing policies and the launch of the “digital nomad” visa have made it one of the favored spots for freelancers and remote workers.

This visa allows them to live and work in Spain while taking advantage of benefits such as high-speed Internet and tax-friendly conditions.

Visa Requirments 

To be eligible for the Spain visa for digital nomads, applicants must meet certain requirements. These include being from a country outside of Europe, being a freelancer or employed by a company based outside of Spain, and not having a criminal record in Spain or any other country in the past five years.

Additionally, applicants must have health insurance from a company that operates in Spain and be qualified in their field, providing proof of a university degree or work experience.

Applicants must also provide proof of work history and, if freelancing, prove a professional relationship with a foreign company for at least three months.

Salary Requirement for Spain Visa

Besides that, the applicants need to meet the minimum of two thousand seven hundred fifty dollars, or three thousand seven hundred fifty dollars monthly income.

By meeting these requirements, remote workers can enjoy the possibility of living and working in Spain.
