ISLAMABAD: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced on Tuesday that all reports about gas outages that affected multiple regions of Karachi were false because the city maintained a stable gas supply system.

The gas utility company officially declared that all reports about widespread gas suspension in the area are false because they do not match actual events.

SSGC reported that all gas supply systems across Karachi continue to function normally because the company has sufficient resources to meet current demands during Ramadan, which is the holy month of Ramadan.

The company reported that its helpline 1199 has not received any major complaints about gas supply disruptions that extend beyond specific areas.

The organization accepted that certain households that use gas compressors will create low gas pressure in their neighboring homes, thus causing residents to report gas shortages.

SSGC showed that people in Ramadan consume more gas because they increase their cooking activities during Sehri and Iftar time. The utility company has established programs that will deliver a continuous gas supply from 3:00 am to 10:30 pm because this time period includes peak usage times in Sehri.

SSGC established a special gas supply schedule for Ramadan, which provides maximum gas availability during Sehri and Iftar times. The authorities have instructed customers to stay away from unauthorized compressors, and they should file official complaints through the dedicated helpline to assist in maintaining equal distribution throughout the system.

SSGC pledged to deliver consistent gas pressure and continuous gas service to all areas of Karachi because energy demand has increased throughout Ramadan.
