ISLAMABAD: (Rana Farrukh Saeed) – The suspended Director General (DG) of the Environmental Protection Agency, Farzana Altaf Shah has been accused of mismanagement, misconduct with officers and negligence in carrying out official duties.
As per the details, a charge sheet has been presented and an inquiry committee has initiated and investigation into the matter.
According the sources, following instructions from the Prime Minister, Farzana Altaf Shah has been asked to submit a written response within two weeks. The inquiry officer has been instrued to complete and submit the report within two months. IF no written response is provided, a one-sided action will be taken.
The sources further revealed that Asad Islam Mehani, the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industries and Production, has been appointed as the inquiry officer, while the Deputy Secretary of the Minister of Climate Change has been disignated as the administrative representatve.
The chare sheet issue to Farzana Altaf Shah includes accusations of mismanagement within the agency, misconduct with officers, and negligence in fulfilling office duties. Complaints from various companies have also been included in the charge sheet, along with allegeations of failure to control the growing environmental pollution in Islamabad.
