Three Balochistan Constabulary personnel martyred in deadly Mastung blast

MASTUNG: A deadly blast targeted a truck carrying Balochistan Constabulary personnel, fellow personnel in Mastung, killing three personnel and injuring 16 personnel.

An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in the Shamsabad area of Mastung when the Balochistan Constabulary vehicle was en route from Kalat, leaving as many as 16 FC men wounded in the incident.

The Balochistan government spokesperson, Shahid Rind, said that an emergency has been declared in Bolan Medical Complex and Civil Hospital Quetta.

Those injured, including two personnel, are being shifted to Quetta due to their condition, of which two are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, security forces rushed to the site, cordoned off the area, and launched a search operation.

Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti directed Health Minister Bakht Kakar to oversee the situation and warned that no negligence would be tolerated in their treatment.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the incident and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families, reaffirming the government’s resolve to effectively counter the nefarious intentions of “enemies of humanity”.

The premier stressed that the war against terrorists would continue until the menace was completely eradicated from the country.
