ISLAMABAD: Despite Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) planned nationwide protest train operations will continue as normal, with the previous suspension notice now canceled.

However, train stations are overly crowded due to the closure of Motorways and GT roads.

This nationwide protest coincides with Belarus President Lukashenko’s visit to Islamabad, which lends a note of tension to the security situation in the capital.

Given this, the government has imposed an order under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, prohibiting public gatherings deemed unauthorized and deploying police, paramilitary, and military forces to prevent rallies

The PTI party has held protests across the nation, demanding the release of Imran Khan and opposing proposed constitutional amendments that could, in their view, undermine the independence of the judiciary.

These gatherings attracted tens of thousands to the protests, leading to the implementation of security measures by the government to curb violence and destruction.
